Why Lung Monkey?
Lung Monkey is just a comical and memorable name for this quirky site. Respiratory Therapists deal with critical decision making in what is frequently a high stress job, and even more frequently is quite under-appreciated. Here at LM, we monkey around with designs to make great, memorable swag to hopefully make your job a little more enjoyable.
Are you really a respiratory therapist too?
Yes. I am a currently practicing respiratory therapist with over 30 years of critical care experience. You may be wondering about why I use "we" instead of "I." That is a not-so-subtle nod to my other half and the amount of time that I have poured into this site, that could also have been spent enjoying her company over a hot cup of coffee. I feel she is in this with me... so yeah. I am going to pronoun like "we" are royalty. 🤴
What can we expect?
We will be coming out with more products and more diverse types of products in the not-too-distant-future. Coffee cups, sweaters and more are all on the to-do list. Initially when we set up this store, we put out 16 t-shirts and then found out what all the "gotchas" were after we had built it. This led to a LOT of reworking tags, collections, mockups and more. We learned from that and slowing our roll a little should help us decrease the amount of headache medicine we are consuming.
Can I submit suggestions?
Absolutely! We would love to hear thoughts about products you would like to see. If you let us know what it is, it doesn't violate copyright law, and it is a good match for the site, you may very well see your idea in print.
